Wonka Day!

In Honor of Willy Wonka my daughter's school is doing a candy presentation.  Amaya came up with a recipe for chocolate and peanut butter fondue with sprinkles.  She had cut up bananas, grapes and apples to dip and also pretzels, graham crackers and hershey minitures.  She had to do a jingle and a skit so I am excited to hear how it all went!!! Good Luck Amaya!

Fabric! Oh My!!!!

I am in Orlando now and boy am I having a good time. I am here alone with my family as Amaya is in Virginia and Kaivon is still in San Diego. I am enjoying this time with my mom and aunts. My mom took me to this wonderful fabric shop in Kissimmee, I am embarrassed to say I went a bit overboard and have already cut out a new patchwork quilt pattern.

Vegas Baby!!!

Wow, we had such a wonderful time in Las Vegas. We stayed in the Treasure Island, which was way nicer then I though it would be. Kaivon commented on how he had never spent so little time in a hotel room, we were on the go the whole time. Our first day there we went out to dinner at a tropical restaurant and then say "mystere", the Cirque de Soile show at the TI. It was was so good. I think the best part was when they pulled Kaivon on stage and locked him in a box. Yep thats right, kaivon was part of the show. Once he was locked in the box the clown bought over some champagne and sat with me. Poor Kaivon!! The next day we saw everything we could. We had the breakfast buffet at the Paris and then went up the Eifel tower, what a view. We walked all the way down to the MGM and saw the Lion habitat, we went through the Excalibur, which Amaya called the castle, the Luxor and Mandalay bay. We had lunch at Diablos in the Monte Carlo then went to the coney island area of New York New York where Amaya played games./ We met Kaivon's college buddie Lawrence and went to see his house and meet his adorable children. Then back to the strip, we went and saw the water show at the Bellagio, the volcano show at the Mirage and dinner at the Wyn. The last day we had a wonderful breakfast at the the bellagio a restaurant called Bouchon, I had sourdough waffles and they were amazing!! I miss eveyone in Okinawa though!
